As a freelance graphic designer, I work with businesses of all sizes to create professional, engaging web and graphic design that helps them succeed. I collaborate closely with my clients to deliver high-quality designs that meet their goals and build lasting partnerships.
At Galvanize Design, I specialise in professional web and graphic design for businesses in Surrey and across the UK. My approach is personal, adaptable, and focused on creating bespoke designs that meet each client’s unique needs.
With 20 years of experience as a freelance graphic designer, I understand the balance between creativity and functionality. Whether you need a brand refresh, a new logo, or a professional website, I bring your ideas to life with design solutions tailored to your vision.
I work closely with every client to ensure each project not only looks great but also supports business growth. My web design services focus on creating user-friendly websites that reflect your brand and engage your audience, while my graphic design work ensures clear and creative communication.
From logo design to website development, I create designs that help businesses stand out, whether in Surrey or across the UK.
Here’s how I work:
1_Understanding
Understanding you and your business is essential to my process. It helps me grasp your current position, the challenges you’re facing, and the purpose behind your work. From there, we can chart the path forward together. We’ll collaborate to define and agree on project goals, deliverables, timelines, and budget to ensure everything aligns with your vision. When you’re happy to get started I’ll send the first invoice. It’s usually for 50 percent of the total fee, with the remainder to be paid upon completion and before files are delivered.
2_Exploration
I’ll review all the details from the brief and start exploring styles, competitors, and trends that could inspire the concepts. From there, I’ll refine the strongest ideas and present them to you, walking you through my thought process and evaluating each option against the project goals.
3_Creativity
This is where creativity ignites, ideas flow freely, and the excitement begins. New concepts will emerge—some you’ll love, and others maybe not—but that’s all part of the process. At this stage, it’s about embracing fresh ideas. I’ll share work-in-progress updates with you to gather your thoughts and feedback, as your input is crucial to shaping a final result that truly aligns with your vision.
4_Collaboration
This stage is essential to the process. As I develop concepts, I’ll share ideas with you along the way to gather feedback and ensure everything flows smoothly and stays enjoyable. Your input—both positive and constructive—is always welcome, and I encourage open dialogue. Don’t worry, I won’t be offended!
5_Refinement
At this stage, we refine the final concept together, evaluating it against the brief. We’ll make any necessary adjustments to the selected visuals before submitting them for approval. This is when the design truly comes to life.
6_Launch
This is the most rewarding stage. Once you’re completely satisfied—which is what matters most—I’ll deliver all final artwork files. However, our collaboration doesn’t have to end here. I value building long-term relationships with my clients, ensuring consistency across your design and marketing efforts. After launching your project, we can continue to track its growth and impact, and explore new ways to work together.
I like to establish key deadlines throughout the project to ensure everything stays on schedule and within budget. Clear communication between us is essential during the design process, and I encourage any feedback or questions you may have along the way—more details can be found on my FAQ page.
